"Ziel" takes into account the fact that at intermediate level students may not all have the same knowledge of German language and is therefore flexible in its structure and makes good use of all the multimedia tools now available to students.
Every lesson is made up of seven clearly structured lesson pages (the core learning programme) as well as three overview pages (learning goals, linguistics and grammar)and followed by a double page of photographs for independent projct work.
Thematically, every lesson deals with a topic of general interest and, with a view to language acquisition, a defined level-appropriate communicative goal linked to the Common European Framework of Reference. The lesson is divided into individual sections, each of which deal with a linguistic or grammatical aspect of the communicative goal all leading to the last section of the lesson in which the learner completes a task bringing all the aspects together.
The individual lessons are arranged progressively but can still be varied according to the learner's focus of interest.
