A self-study course requiring no prior knowledge of German, "Deutsch in 30 Tagen" contains 30 chapters, each focusing on a typical everyday situation, to quickly equip students with the most essential vocabulary and language structures needed to get by in Germany.

Each lesson consists of a text in German, a grammar section (with explanations in English), consolidation exercises and a short round-up of general information on the subject in hand. eg. forms of address, greeting people, the press.

A summary of spelling and pronunciation is included and all the vocabulary and dialogues are translated into English. There is also a key to the exercises is included at the end of the book.
