Using an attractive magazine-style format with colour photographs and illustrations "Ferienhefte" contain a wide range of exercises to help pupils improve their spoken German skills independently. Each book covers six main topics (taken from the "geni@l coursebooks but common to most courses for teenagers) and combines spelling, counting and word games with other short activities to hold pupils interest whilst they practice the language.
