All the activities in this skills practice package have been extensively tested in classrooms around Europe, or else, evaluated at teacher-training establishments. "Memo" develops the word-power of students from low-intermediate to advanced level, using a range of activities of intrinsic interest based on the established concept of grouping vocabulary in contextually related groups.

Each of the 18 units focuses on a thematic area, ranging from the typical communicative topic "(Wohnen; Reisen und Verkehr)" to the more adventurous "(Kunst; Staat und Gesellschaft)". There is no particular structural progression to "Memo", although the concepts presented do become more complex from unit to unit. There is plenty of advice in the "Lehr- und Ubungsbuch" on how to get the best from the material.
