This grammar book is concise but complete and includes a wide range of exercises which expose students at beginner level to the correct use of the rules of the German language. The explanations are set out accurately but using straightforward language and are accompanied by examples.

"Arbeitsgrammatik" is also suitable for those who already have knowledge of German as it enables revision and consolidation of the grammar rules.

Each unit is divided into two parts: in the first part the grammar structure is explained in a clear and concise way; in the second part there are a series of exercises in order of increasing difficulty from controlled practice to dialogues and communicative activities. The vocabulary used also increases in difficulty and quantity throughout the book and accordingly a vocabulary list is included. A separate answer key is also available.
