Aimed at intermediate students of German "Grammatik in Feldern" provides an in depth study of grammar from a communicative and semantic viewpoint. Divided into fields such as Subject, Cause, Requests, Wishes, Intention, Comparison and Contradiction, grammar points are explained thoroughly in context to demonstrate to students how to use the phrases and word groups correctly in different everyday situations and to underline the exact meanings they convey. Exercises for students to practice the new sentence constructions are plentiful throughout the chapters and summaries at the end of the more complex sections show how the grammar structures are actively applied. The course is suitable for class and home study and a "Losungsschussel" available separately giving answers and further possible solutions to the exercises is especially useful for home study.
