"Grammatik sehen" is designed to provide an understanding of the basics of German grammar for the often neglected students who use German as their day-to-day language but have no formal teaching in the language. Using pictures to illustrate the relationships between words in a sentence grammar is given a physical form which makes it real and accessible to the students. A system of colour coding is used to differentiate verb forms, word types and prepositional groups and students are encouraged to create their own examples for further practice in class. At the end of each section exercises, rhymes and poems reinforce the grammatical ideas and lead to definitions of the rules for students to complete.
