A successor of the well-known German course Aspekte, Kontext is a course for students at advanced level; level B1 of the CEFRL. The new course uses a wide range of media, but retains the proven structural elements from its predecessor.
Each student book has 12 units, with inspiring introductory pages and a modular structure focusing on all the skills. Grammar points are embedded in texts through which learners can work out a "rule" for themselves before they practise the language. There are also short video clips on useful phrases, learning strategies and grammar. The course prepares students for the Goethe/ÖSD B1, Goethe B2 and C1, telc Deutsch B1 to C1, ÖSD B2 and C1, DSH and Test-DaF exams.
Klett Augmented is available for Kontext With the Klett Augmented App audio files, videos or links can be scanned, played or saved on a smartphone or tablet.
A separate edition Kontext B1+ express with approximately 100 teaching units for use in intensive courses is also available.
